Helle

Helle knives, our Lappish hunting knives

The history of Helle knives begins in 1932 in Holmeland in Norway thanks to the activity of the two brothers Steinar and Sigmund Helle. Today as in the past, the production of Helle knives is characterized by its craftsmanship.

Features of Helle knives

When we talk about Helle knives, we are therefore talking about semi-artisanal products, since many stages of the processing of these Lappish knives are still done by hand. Among the aspects that most characterize these hunting knives are the materials as well as the design. In fact, Helle knives are made entirely from local Norwegian raw materials. The triple laminated steel is local, as is the wood that is harvested in the wild forests of Norway. The leather of the scabbards is also clearly local.

The design of Helle knives

The design is also distinctive. In fact, Helle knives are characterized by having the appearance of the typical Lappish knives. All models are sold with their characteristic leather sheath. The sheath of these knives allows you to tie the knife to your belt so as to make this knife the perfect work tool.

In conclusion:

Choosing to buy a Helle knife does not only mean choosing to buy a Lapp knife, it also means buying a small piece of Norway. In fact, these knives with their materials and their design contain many typical aspects of the country in which they are made.
