Morakniv

Morakniv knives the northern knives Made in Sweden

The town of Mora, famous for the production of cutlery for more than 400 years, is the heart of the famous Morakniv survival knife brand. The first Morakniv knives began to be produced in the city of Mora already 125 years ago, when in 1981 Frost-Erik, after returning to his hometown in Östnor in Mora, began to produce his Scandinavian wood-wood knives. Initially the production of these Nordic knives was only for their use in the factory, but after a short time they began to be sold also to hunters. In the 50s, thanks to the high quality of these Swedish knives, the Morakniv becomes synonymous with quality in Europe. In 2005, thanks to the merger between KJ Eriksson and Frost, the “Mora of Sweden” brand was born, which only 10 years later, in 2016 will become Morakniv AB.

Today Morakniv products, such as bushcraft knives, or as excursion knives in general. Knives like the Garberg and others, are famous allover the world thanks to their characteristics and their extraordinary value for money. Morakniv knives are famous for their extremely sharp blades made of Swedish steel. To date, Mora knives are undoubtedly among the most requested items among outdoor enthusiasts and boast a production of knives of almost 5 million pieces a year.
