Since 1991, Irie has produced fine hunting knives and developed the Sport series, which has become popular as a compact knife with elegant lines. Mcusta has now collaborated with Irie to produce the Sport 100, 200 and 300 models. Made in Seki, Japan, these fixed blade hunting knives feature the same Irie design combined with traditional Mcusta elements. This collection is almost entirely handcrafted and exemplifies Mcusta’s passion for precision and Japanese craftsmanship fused with the timeless design and ingenuity of American knifemaker Mike Irie.
Made in Seki, Japan, Mcusta combines modern technology with traditional Japanese craftsmanship to produce quality custom, hand-finished knives. This knife features a 33-layer San Mai stainless steel blade with a tsuchime finish and a VG-10 core. The handle is made of elaborately shaped black micarta and features elegant groove patterns in the Mcusta tradition. The blade features a knurling just like the original knives made by Mike Irie. This special knife comes with a light brown leather sheath.
