History of the knife brand Benchmade;

Benchmade was founded in 1988 by Les de Asis in California under the name "Balisong" initially, in reference to the Balisong butterfly knife. The brand is a renowned knife manufacturer based in Oregon City, Oregon, United States with a focus on producing high-quality tactical and general purpose knives.

In 1990, the brand moved its headquarters to Oregon and changed its name to Benchmade, referring to the practice of handcrafting folding blades, while the "Bali-Song" brand was reserved for butterfly knives.

Technology used in Benchmade knives;

Over the years, the company has developed and applied different technological innovations to its products. In this sense, Benchmade uses a variety of high-quality stainless steels, such as CPM-S30V, CPM-20CV, and others. Materials united by their resistance to corrosion, thread retention and durability over time.

Another aspect that many of these knives have in common is the locking system. The company is in fact famous for having patented the "AXIS Lock" locking system. This system offers excellent stability and safety for the blade, allowing easy opening and closing of the knife with just one hand.

Much attention is also given to the handle, these knives are in fact made with various high quality materials, including G-10, micarta and aluminium. One of the most fruitful collaborations is the one undertaken with Warren Osborne. The brand has worked extensively with the famous designer Warren Osborne to create several bestselling knife models, including the Benchmade 940 Osborne.

Steve Tarani;

Benchmade worked with Steve Tarani, a self-defense expert, to create specialized tactical knives, such as the Benchmade SOCP Dagger, designed for use in law enforcement and personal safety.

Shane Sibert;

Among the most well-known collaborations we also remember the one undertaken with S. Sibert, the company collaborated with this designer to create high-quality hunting and outdoor knives, including the Benchmade 162 Bushcrafter.
