This elite Sprint Run expression of the Military 2 proudly displays a blade crafted from CPM 15V, an extraordinary material that offers the highest wear resistance of any cold-work tool steel available today. Containing nearly 15 percent vanadium, its unique alloy composition creates an exceptionally high volume of vanadium carbides in its microstructure. In knife blades, this translates into breathtaking cutting performance and edge retention. Spyderco’s limited-edition CPM 15V knife family is further enhanced by a special heat treatment protocol developed by acclaimed custom knifemaker Shawn Houston. This Sprint Run expression of the Military 2 faithfully incorporates all of the proven elements of this design, including a high-strength Compression Lock® mechanism and a four-position pocket clip.
